History and Experience
Acadian Construction Ltd. was founded in 1958. From its inception, Acadian
Construction Ltd. has built a variety of commercial, industrial, and
institutional facilities and has experienced continued growth and success
in the industry. In 1991, Claude F. Savoie, the president of Acadian
Construction Ltd., offered shares to his project managers and thus Acadian
Construction (1991) Ltd. was formed.
The company has kept pace with the challenges of the industry and utilizes
estimating, drawing, accounting and scheduling software that enables
construction costs and progress to be monitored and constantly updated. At
present, the construction bonding capacity is approximately 35 million
dollars.
Acadian Construction (1991) Ltd. offers general contracting, project
management and design build services to a number of various clients.

Project Managers
Acadian Construction's team of project managers is comprised of:

All members of the team provide both estimating
services and construction management. Duties include calculation of all
construction costs, punctual submissions of tenders, owner and contractor
negotiations, sub trade evaluations and construction management.
The construction manager's role is to work closely with the Ownership Group
and prime architectural consultant on the development of construction
details, scheduling, and a quality control management program. On site
duties include scheduling, sub-contract administration, evaluation and
submittal of change orders, as well as provisions of direction and support
to the site superintendent.
Years of work experience in the construction industry have earned each
member of the team a solid reputation among the architects and
engineers.
Site Superintendents
Our senior site superintendents are an integral part of Acadian
Construction's reputation and success. Our team of site superintendents and
foreman has work experience ranging from five to over twenty-five years and
are amongst the most competent and dedicated of the Atlantic region.
The superintendents demonstrate skill in performing their on-site duties.
The site superintendent's duties include supervision of the day to day
operations of all workers and sub trades, quality control monitoring and
reports, coordination of independent testing, maintenance of a daily log,
the development of site safety and fire safety plan, and other
communications to the construction manager, and is also responsible to
ensure project schedule and workmanship quality are maintained.
